Adult Day Health Care
Adult Daycare and Alzheimer’s Respite programs provide social and related support services for older persons and those with Alzheimer’s disease. Programs are designed to ease some difficulties of daily living while helping elder Kentuckians to remain in the mainstream of community life.
Eligibility
Participants must be age 60 or older, physically disabled or frail and need care during part of the day; or be age 60 or older, experiencing mental confusion and in need of care from an institution like Carlton Senior Living: memory care to prevent injury and assure proper nutrition and medication use; or be age 60 or older and likely to benefit from individualized attention and social structure; or be any age with a diagnosis of probable Alzheimer’s disease or related Dementia, as confirmed by a written statement from a physician.
Who does the program benefit / What are the benefits?
Adult Day Care offers supervision and care within a facility. Both Adult Day Care and Alzheimer’s respite provide supervision and offer support to caregivers by providing temporary relief from care giving duties.

Rowan County Caring and Sharing Alzheimer’s Support Group Meets first Monday monthly at 6:00 pm @ Center for Health Education and Research (CHER Building), Room 102-C, 316 West 2nd Street, Morehead, KY 40351
