Regional Kitchen Stock Clerk
The Regional Kitchen Stock Clerk will unload and stock raw, dry, and prepared food items for the Gateway Area Development District Senior Centers Division. The Regional Kitchen Stock Clerk is responsible for keeping shelves organized and stocked with prepared food items, using stocked goods to pack meals in coolers for the senior center home delivered meal program, and putting stock away as it is received.
General Duties and Responsibilities
1. Stocking: Involves unloading and stocking raw, dry, and prepared food items. This duty will consist of:
Receive deliveries and unpack boxes;
Unload items and stock shelves and freezers; and
Restock inventory;
2. Packaging: Involves using stocked goods to pack meals in coolers. This duty will consist of:
Pack home delivered meals in cooler(s)/carrier(s);
Clean coolers/carriers for home delivered meals; and
Gather supplies from lists to be delivered to senior center(s)/nutrition site(s).
3. General Operations: Involves assisting the regional kitchen staff and senior center staff as needed. This duty will consist of:
Answer and direct telephone calls;
Assist participants with various needs;
Cover/operate senior center(s)/nutrition site(s);
Cover meal delivery routes;
Assist with general cleanup of the regional kitchen, appliances, etc.; and
Participate in trainings.
4. Other Duties: Involves any other tasks and assistance needed to support the senior center and/or nutrition program within the Gateway region.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods of time; reach, stoop, crouch, bend, and work in cramped spaces; ascend/descend ladders; ability to lift and carry approximately 60 pounds; fine motor skills; operate a vehicle.

Working Conditions
Sub-zero conditions while working inside the walk-in freezer; indoor office conditions; outdoor conditions during various weather conditions and on various terrains; possible wildlife/animal encounters during home meal deliveries.
Availability and Travel
Regular travel within region (travel is reimbursable).
Tools, Equipment, and Vehicle Use
Standard office equipment (computers, printers, scanners, phones, etc.); industrial kitchen equipment; and personal vehicle/fleet vehicle(s)/large van(s).
This is a 30-hour-per-week position. The position is based at the Menifee County Senior Center/Regional Kitchen, located at 68 Old Campus Road, Frenchburg, KY 40322. Pay is $13.00 per hour.

Minimum QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma/GED or higher.
Certification and Trainings: Valid Driver’s License required. Additional certifications may be required upon hiring. Employees may be expected to attend professional development trainings related to programs and services provided through senior center sites.
Experience: Entry Level Position. One (1) or more years of related work experience preferred.
